It took some thinking. I always believed I know myself so well. How about … I’m passionate about the things that interest me? Or perhaps, a knowledge seeker and a perfectionist? The only conceivable means of reaching human perfection lies in the search for oneself. In self-discovery. That being said, this blog is a chronicle of my self-discovery.
Well, let me put it this way, writing How-To’s has been a passion ever since I learned how to communicate an idea and that’s the only reason why I love blogging so much. It actually make you think, what not to write. Beside endeavouring to know the unknowable, I seek to touch the untouchable. Sometimes I seek to love the unlovable. I tend to believe that I have succeeded in getting a grasp on these intangibles, until I realize it was merely an illusory victory.
Being in communication corp in military, I personally have developed required skill-sets to communicate over almost all mediums as exposed to us. And, I have worked quite long in telecommunication arena, fell deeply into a love hate relationship with the field. There was a time when I used to code couple of years back and … I still live for those moments when everything falls into place and just works beautifully and I know that I created it.
I’m obviously much better in technical terms than writing pure fictions, but I strive to improve upon my writing skills in both fictions and technical manuals. I might know a lot of stuff about a lot of things, and I might be able to deliver many topics intelligently, but I’m a true “philomath”, as wiki describes as “seeker of knowledge”.
As I said, I am a perfectionist [which is utterly bad] and a synesthete. I also love music and movies, a retarded hippie at heart, I listen primarily to music made in the mid eighties to early nineties. Bluegrass and “country-western” thing makes my day!
I’m pretty much in debt to Internet industry which makes me working hard towards a greater Internet reach. Developing Internet-centric policies are my only motivational factor to shape our connected future in Bangladesh. I believe we are getting close to that critical mass.
Beside having a real name, I do have an Internet pseudo-name or handle, which is why every single search query with my handle will return all my posts/blogs/Internet presence elsewhere. To be specific, those are all mine! Googling with “Raqueeb Hassan” will do the rest.
Unfortunately, I’m a Scorpio, down to the marrow.
Wiki says “A polymath (Greek polym Wiki sπολυμαθής, “having learned much”) is a person whose knowledge is not is a perso to one subject area. In less formal terms, a polymath (or polymathic person) may simply refer to someone who is very knowledgeable.
Wiktio who is vethat a polymath is “a person with extraordinarily broad and comprehh extraordwledge”.
As wiki says “Synesthetes often report that they were unaware their experiences were unusual until eir experieed other people did not have them, while others report feeling as if they had been keeping a secret their entire lives.”
